NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 25 August 2009

The meeting began at 7:40pm

Captain Silverman made the following announcements:

 The Westchester Aviation Association will bring the Warbirds to the airport from August 27^th through August 31st. Volunteers are needed to assist in the program and staff the membership tent. UOD-BDU/FS/Golf Shirt. Forms 31 and 17 are needed.

Members interested in Staff positions should contact Captain Silverman. The following positions are open: Deputy Commander of Seniors, Mission Safety Officer and Drug Demand Reduction Officer.

Please leave the meeting room neater than when you arrive.

OUD for 22 September 2009 will be Blues. All members eligible for promotion or awards should submit the necessary paperwork.

We will return to a training schedule in September. Classes will include Radiological, Hazmat and Red Cross training.

O- Flights have been approved for certain Cadets.

A SAREX for Saturday 29 August 2009 is schedule for 8am.

Major Wooley made the following announcements:

All crews are to carry a cell phone as a last line of Cell phones may be used on a VFR Mission. 15 minute check-ins are required of all pilots.

3 October 2009 a multi-agency exercise will be held in Ward Pound Ridge Park.
