NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 4 August  2009

The meeting began at 7:30pm

Major Wooley made the following announcements:

 The Westchester Aviation Association will bring the Warbirds to the airport from August 27^th through September 2^nd. Volunteers are needed to assist in the program and staff the membership tent.

The J. Pantenelli Squadron will have is annual trip to Canada to meet with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets from October 9-12. Cost is $ 180.00.

We will have a safety briefing next week covering the helicopter-plane crash in NYC.

An amateur radio course will be offered through the Westchester Amateur Radio Association. Please contact Major Rothman for further information.

Form 5 Pilots should be aware of the change in squawk sheet posting. Additional information will come in the future through email from Wing. Contact Steven Smith for further information.

Entrance to the flight line will be handled by Airport Opps until further notice.

15 August 2009 a Wing Wide SAREX will be held with emphasis on tern around times for aircrews and aircraft. Aircrews and Mission Base Staff will be needed.

Observer and Mission Pilot training followed the announcements.
