NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 28 July 2009

The meeting began at 7:35pm

Capt Silverman made the following announcements:

We will be using the Joint News Center for our meetings, but must clean up afterwards and put all furniture back in place.

 The Westchester Aviation Association will bring the Warbirds to the airport from August 27^th through September 2^nd. Volunteers are needed to assist in the program and staff the membership tent.

Lt Stern will be creating basic membership packages.

All persons interested in the position of Deputy Squadron Commander, with interest in succeeding to the position of Squadron Commander should please contact Capt Silverman for further information.

Inspections are scheduled for the coming weeks. Property and SUI. Please contact Capt Silverman for additional information.

Major Wooley made the following announcements:

15 August 2009 a Wing Wide SAREX will be held with emphasis on tern around times for aircrews and aircraft. Aircrews and Mission Base Staff will be needed.

Funding for AYC flights has run out. Application is being made to the Air Force for additional funds.B-12 flights should be made when possible. Planes need to be flown.

The text messaging system will be re-established in the coming months.

Observer and Mission Pilot training followed the announcements.

CAP Form 60 must be updated and put into each members file.
