NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 21 July 2009
The meeting began at 7:25pm
Capt Silverman made the following announcements:
A phone chain has been prepared; please check to make sure all your contact information is correct.
Seniors and Cadets are needed to assist Major Pantinelli plant the garden.
Inspections are scheduled for the coming weeks. Property and SUI. Please contact Capt Silverman for additional information.
Regional Staff College at McGuire AFB 2010 covers many important areas and is helpful for unit training. All interested for the 2010 College are encouraged to participate.
15 August 2009 a Wing Wide SAREX will be held with emphasis on tern around times for aircrews and aircraft. Aircrews and Mission Base Staff will be needed.
Funding for AYC flights has run out. Application is being made to the Air Force for additional funds.B-12 flights should be made when possible. Planes need to be flown.
Major Wooley is working on MOUs with the Red Cross, Tarrytown Fire Department, Westchester County Police and a local railroad company. The Red Cross would like to train Ground Teams in shelter training. They have 2 courses and will train us when ready. The Tarrytown Fire Department has a marine unit and would like our assistance.
In October an airplane down exercise will be conducted in Pound Ridge.
CAP Form 60 must be updated and put into each members file.
Our next meeting will be held in the Joint News Center.
ICS 400 must be completed for all IC, Mission Safety and Liaison Officers by September 30, 2009. If this has not been completed your status will be effected.
