NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 14 July 2009

The meeting began at 7:40pm

Capt Wooley made the following announcements:

NY Wing will hold a NY Wing SARCOM in 2010.

15 August 2009 a Wing Wide SAREX will be held with emphasis on tern around times for aircrews and aircraft. Aircrews and Mission Base Staff will be needed.

The Wing training Officer will be putting packages together to make the process easier for Mission Pilots and Observers. Send comments to Major Wooley.

Funding for AYC flights has run out. Application is being made to the Air Force for additional funds.B-12 flights should be made when possible. Planes need to be flown.

In the future Mission Pilots will be assigned specific crews for better training and proficiency. These crews will stay together for 6 months. Back up crews will also be created. All crews will coordinate training and flights. In additional we hope to put crews on standby status when necessary.

Major Wooley is working on MOUs with the Red Cross, Tarrytown Fire Department, Westchester County Police and a local railroad company.

Lt Stern and Lt Cetta will be working with new members toward faster completion of GES training and the issuing of 101 Cards.

Lt Stern will be giving a photography class in the coming months.

Scanner and Observer training will continue and periodic testing will be held to increase proficiency.

Flight Scheduler PRO. All pilots must re-register to get into the system. You must use a different user ID.

ICS 400 must be completed for all IC, Mission Safety and Liaison Officers by September 30, 2009. If this has not been completed your status will be effected.
