NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 14 April 2009

The meeting began at 7:15pm

 Major Wooley made the following announcements:

Radio Operator Training classes Basic and Advanced will be held on April 21, 2009.

Radio Operator Basic 7:30pm     Radio Operator Advanced   8:30pm

CLC  2- 3 May 2009 please sign up with Capt Wooley.

Wing Conference will be at Lake George  April 24^th through 26^th.

North East Regional Staff Collage will be held at McGuire AFB, July 11^th through      July 18^th.

AYC flights will be schedule for Tuesday nights. Mission Pilots, Scanners and Observers are needed. Two flights will be scheduled for each night lasting 1 hour and 10 minutes.

2nd. Lt Cipriano is now a Mission Pilot. We now have 6 Mission Pilots in the Squadron.

Volunteers are needed for a practice protester drill at West Point. Please contact Major Wooley for further information.

All personnel should wear one of the proscribed uniforms to our meetings.

An issue has arisen with regard to the wearing of the Unit Citation Ribbon. It will be resolved in the future. All members are eligible to wear the Membership Ribbon and those with 2 years in CAP can wear the Service Ribbon.

Lt Gasparino presented the monthly safety briefing covering dehydration, flooding and hanger rash. All members should review the Operational Risk Management material and take the online exams when possible.

Captain Falcon made presentations covering both the Garmin 1000 and the Becker.
