NY 219 Civil Air Patrol Squadron Meeting 10 February 2009

The meeting began at 7:15pm

Capt Silverman made the following announcements:

A number of Group positions are open and need to be filled; this can be done as Group 118 or as additional duty from Squadron 219.

The CAC Banquet will be held at the Mt. Kisco Holiday Inn at 1900 hrs on 7 March 2009. The cost is $ 35 per person.

The following Walks and other events are open for CAP participation.

St. Patrick’s Day, American Heart, Miles for Hope, MS Walk in May.

The Air Force Band will be in Poughkeepsie in April.

The Blue Angels will perform in Binghamton on July 4th.

A Wing Wide SAREX is scheduled for 28 February 2009. “Operation Radio Sky Link” will be a communications based SAREX. All those available please attend. Cadets and Seniors are needed. Ground Teams will be deployed. You will need to have GES and SQTRs open before you arrive.

A LIG SAREX is scheduled for 8 March 2009. We will operate form HPN.

The New York Wing Conference will be held at Fort William Henry in Lake George, New York April 24th to April 26th.

Applications for Deputy Commander are being accepted. All interested should submit an application, resume and be available for an interview.

CLC training is scheduled for May 2nd and 3rd at our base. Please attend.

A Ground SAR School will be held this coming weekend at LIG. Please look at the following site for information. www.ligsar.org.

All those who have submitted documents for Find Ribbons should resubmit forms to Capt Silverman. The Group commander can now sign off. Please review CAP 39-3 for wards and ribbons.

All information that is to be validated must be presented with back up hard copies to Capt Silverman or Capt Wooley. In addition please keep copies for yourself and include a copy in your file.
