Raptor Squadron Home

Westchester Hudson Senior Squadron, NER NY-219 is comprised of 47 members of the community, ages 18 and up, from all walks of life. While each individual’s background is different, all members have two things in common, a love of country and a strong desire to give back to the community.

CAP’s Motto: “Semper Vigilans” – Always Vigilant!

Our Squadron is active in all three of Civil Air Patrol’s congressionally mandated missions:

  • Cadet Programs
  • Emergency Services
  • Aerospace Education

Squadron members are trained regularly and efficiently in all three areas of CAP’s missions through Search and Rescue exercises, both in the air and on the ground, as mission base staff personnel in emergency events, and in the area of radio communications and aerial photography. It benefits personal and professional development through its leadership training program. CAP ensures that members are “mission ready” in accordance with Homeland Security through the offering of FEMA courses and educates adult and cadet members and the community on the importance of aerospace. The Westchester Hudson Senior Squadron actively participates in emergency drills and exercises with the local towns and EMS agencies, and has recently been assigned by The Office of Emergency Services of the town of Pound Ridge as the official search and rescue organization for its 4,315 acre Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
